Licensing

End User License Agreement

A Typesee font license gives you permission to use the font software in specific ways. You are licensing the font—not buying ownership of it.

Version 1.3 Effective 20 July 2026 Governing law Indonesia

Plain-language guide

Choose every license that matches how the font will be used.

Choose each usage category your project needs. A branded website normally needs Brand / Logo and Web; each paid usage license already includes one Implementation User, so Desktop is needed only for general design work or additional users. Enterprise / All Media replaces the standard categories only when expressly named in a written enterprise order.

01 — The agreement

Acceptance, parties, and scope

This End User License Agreement (“EULA”) is a binding agreement between Typesee (“Typesee”, “we”, “us”) and the person or legal entity identified on the order (“Licensee”, “you”). It applies to the font software, outlines, data, documentation, and related files delivered by Typesee (“Font Software”).

You accept this EULA when you complete a purchase, download, install, access, copy, or use the Font Software. If you accept on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind it. If you do not agree, do not download, install, or use the Font Software.

Your license is non-exclusive, worldwide, non-transferable, and valid for as long as you comply with this EULA. It grants only the uses expressly covered by the license categories and tiers on your order. All other rights are reserved.

Definitions

Finished Output
Artwork, images, video, print, or other final media in which the Font Software cannot reasonably be extracted, installed, or reused.
Licensed User
One person who may install or access the desktop Font Software. Shared accounts do not reduce the number of Licensed Users.
Implementation User
One person included with each paid non-Desktop usage license who may install or access the supplied Font Software solely to implement that named licensed use. This does not grant general Desktop rights.
Pageview
One loading or reloading of a page that serves the Font Software. The applicable tier is measured by the highest monthly total for the licensed domain and covered subdomains.
Monthly Active User (MAU)
One unique user who accesses the licensed app, game, or server product during a calendar month.
Unit
One physical or digital product made, sold, supplied, or distributed, whether paid or free.
Embedding
Including Font Software in a website, app, game, device, document, or server workflow so software can render text with it.
Covered Entity
The Licensee and any parent, subsidiary, affiliate, or other legal entity expressly named in an Enterprise / All Media order. No entity is covered merely because it belongs to the same corporate group.

02 — License grants

What each license permits

Only the license categories shown on your order apply. Every paid Web, Brand / Logo, Commercial Products, App / Game / Server, Social Media, or Broadcast License includes one Implementation User for that licensed use. You do not need a separate Desktop License for that person unless they perform general desktop design work, work outside the named use, or additional people install or access the desktop Font Software. Enterprise rights apply only through a written quote and order.

00

Demo / Trial Font License

A Font Software package identified as DEMO, trial, test, or evaluation is provided free of charge under this limited license. It may contain a reduced character set, fewer styles, altered naming, or disabled features and is not a substitute for the paid Font Software.

  • Install the DEMO on devices you control to evaluate the typeface before purchase.
  • Use it for non-commercial education or school work and in a non-commercial personal portfolio.
  • Create private tests and mockups solely to decide whether to purchase the full font.
  • Purchase the appropriate paid license before any client work, paid work, commercial activity, public campaign, or production use begins.

Never permitted with a DEMO: client work or client pitches; logos or brand identities; commercial social media; products for sale; web, app, game, server, document, or template embedding; film or broadcast distribution; resale; sharing; redistribution; modification; removal of the DEMO designation; or delivery of the files to another person. Downloading a DEMO does not grant any paid license rights.

01

Desktop License

You may install the desktop Font Software for the number of Licensed Users in your selected tier: 1 User, 2–5 Users, 6–20 Users, or Unlimited Users.

  • Create print, editorial, presentation, packaging artwork, and other static designs that are not published as social media content.
  • Deliver Finished Output to clients, printers, and production vendors.
  • Embed a protected subset in a read-only PDF when recipients cannot extract or reuse the Font Software.
  • Store a reasonable backup and place the Font Software on an internal server only when access is restricted to Licensed Users.

Separate rights are required for: logos and brand identities, self-hosted websites, products for sale, apps or server products, social media publishing or advertising, and broadcast distribution.

02

Web License

You may self-host the supplied webfont files using @font-face on the named licensed domain, its subdomains, and related intranet or microsite properties stated on your order, within the selected tier: up to 50,000; 250,000; 1,000,000; or unlimited monthly pageviews.

  • Use one included Implementation User to prepare and deploy the licensed website.
  • Use only the webfont formats supplied or expressly approved by Typesee.
  • Serve the webfonts from infrastructure controlled by you or your contracted hosting provider.
  • Use reasonable technical measures to prevent directory listing, cross-site hotlinking, and casual extraction.
  • Purchase a separate Web License for each unrelated registered domain unless your order says otherwise.

Not covered: general desktop design work beyond the included Implementation User’s licensed website task, native app embedding, server-generated customer output, downloadable templates, digital advertising files that expose the font, or redistribution of webfont files.

03

Brand / Logo License

You may use the Font Software to create a logo, wordmark, brand mark, or identity system for the one named brand on your order. Your selected tier—Individual / Small Business, Medium Business, or Enterprise—must match the organization’s size at purchase.

  • Use the approved Finished Output across the brand’s identity, guidelines, campaigns, signage, and communications.
  • Register the finished logo or wordmark as a trademark where legally available.
  • Continue displaying compliant Finished Output after the design is approved.

One Implementation User is included to create the named identity, so that person does not need to buy Desktop again for this task. General desktop work, work for another brand, or additional people installing the desktop Font Software requires the appropriate Desktop coverage. Web embedding, apps, merchandise, editable templates, and Font Software delivery to the client remain separate.

04

Commercial Products License

You may use the Font Software in Finished Output applied to the declared product type, within the selected tier: up to 1,000; 10,000; 100,000; or unlimited Units.

  • Use one included Implementation User to create artwork for the declared licensed product type.
  • Create physical goods such as apparel, posters, packaging, stationery, and merchandise offered for sale or distribution.
  • Create fixed, non-editable digital products where the Font Software is not included, exposed, or extractable.
  • Count all manufactured or distributed Units, including samples, free editions, and replacement units.

Not covered: editable templates, alphabet or glyph products whose primary value is the typeface design, print-on-demand systems where customers typeset their own text, logo rights, or any distribution of the Font Software.

05

App / Game / Server License

You may embed the supplied Font Software in the one named app, game, or server product on your order, within the selected tier: up to 5,000; 50,000; 250,000; or unlimited MAU.

  • Use one included Implementation User to prepare and embed the Font Software in the named licensed product.
  • Render interface, narrative, title, and in-product text in the licensed product.
  • Use server-side rendering to create images, documents, or other Finished Output for users of the licensed product.
  • Embed the Font Software only in a compiled, encrypted, obfuscated, or otherwise reasonably protected form.
  • Release the named product on multiple operating systems when it remains substantially the same product.

Not covered: another app or game title, a white-label product for multiple customers, website styling, font-selection tools that expose the Font Software, or standalone font distribution.

06

Social Media License

You may use the Font Software in Finished Output published for one named brand, account, or campaign on Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, TikTok, and similar social media platforms. Your selected tier must match the use: Owned Channels / Organic, Paid Ads / Local–Regional, Paid Ads / National, or Paid Ads / Worldwide.

  • Create static posts, stories, carousels, thumbnails, profile or channel graphics, motion graphics, reels, shorts, and social-first video.
  • The Organic tier covers unpaid publishing on social accounts owned or controlled by the named Licensee or brand. It does not cover boosted posts, sponsored content, paid placement, or advertising spend.
  • Paid Ads tiers additionally cover boosted posts, sponsored content, social media ads, and video ads targeted within the purchased geographic scope.
  • Use one included Implementation User to create the licensed social content; additional people who install or access the desktop Font Software require Desktop coverage.

Not covered: another brand or unrelated campaign; editable templates; live font embedding; merchandise; film or television productions; or delivery of the Font Software to a platform. A film title sequence, episode, trailer, or production-specific promo remains Broadcast even when clips are shared on social media.

07

Broadcast License

You may use the Font Software to create titles, captions, credits, on-screen graphics, trailers, and production-specific promotional video for one named film, television, episodic, or cinematic streaming production, within the selected scope: Independent / Local, Regional, National, or Worldwide.

  • Distribute Finished Output through cinema, film festivals, television, and on-demand or subscription streaming services within the licensed territory.
  • Supply Finished Output to broadcasters, streaming services, cinemas, festivals, and distributors.
  • Use the included Implementation User to create the licensed production; additional people who install or access the desktop Font Software require Desktop coverage.

Not covered: a separate title, season, episode set, or production; standalone social media content or social advertising; live app or website embedding; merchandise; or delivery of editable Font Software to a broadcaster or distributor.

08

Enterprise / All Media License

This license is available only through a written custom quote and enterprise order. When your order expressly identifies Enterprise / All Media, it replaces the seven standard license categories for the covered Font Software and Covered Entities.

  • Use the Font Software worldwide and in perpetuity across desktop and print, brand identities, websites, apps, games, server products, commercial products, social media, film, broadcast, streaming, advertising, and other ordinary media.
  • Use it without numerical limits on Licensed Users, employees, approved contractors, domains, pageviews, owned brands, apps, games, MAU, product Units, campaigns, productions, or territories.
  • Allow employees and contractors to access the Font Software solely for work commissioned by a Covered Entity, provided they protect the files and delete them when access is no longer required.
  • Apply the enterprise rights only to the Font Software, Covered Entities, brands, and any other scope expressly identified in the enterprise order.

Unlimited usage is not ownership. Unless the signed enterprise order expressly says otherwise, this license does not permit resale or redistribution of Font Software, sublicensing to clients or unrelated entities, editable font services or templates for third parties, white-label customer products, OEM or hardware distribution, font modification, derivative fonts, public source-code distribution, or AI training. All restrictions below continue to apply.

03 — Production relationships

Clients, agencies, employees, and contractors

  • Employees: Your employees may use the Font Software only when included in the purchased Desktop user count, acting as the included Implementation User for a paid usage license, or covered by an Enterprise / All Media order—and only for the applicable licensed work.
  • Contractors: You may provide the Font Software to a contractor solely to perform licensed work for you. The contractor must protect it, use it for no other client, and permanently delete it when the work ends. You remain responsible for their compliance.
  • Agencies and studios: A license purchased for your agency does not automatically license a client’s ongoing use. The end client must be the Licensee or have a separate license covering its brand, users, distribution, and embedding.
  • Production vendors: Printers, fabricators, broadcasters, and platforms should receive Finished Output whenever possible. If they need the Font Software, they must qualify as a contractor above or obtain their own license.

04 — Restrictions

Uses that are never permitted without written approval

You must not, and must not allow another person to:

  • Sell, share, lend, gift, sublicense, publish, upload, or otherwise redistribute the Font Software or any usable copy of it.
  • Make the Font Software available in a public repository, asset library, template, source package, content-management upload, or downloadable file.
  • Convert, modify, adapt, rename, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or create a derivative font, except where applicable law expressly permits and cannot be excluded.
  • Remove copyright, trademark, attribution, or technical protection information from the Font Software.
  • Use the Font Software, glyph outlines, or substantially complete character set as training data, validation data, or model input for a generative artificial-intelligence system.
  • Use the Font Software in a product whose primary purpose is to let third parties generate editable typesetting, logos, alphabets, or font files unless a written custom license expressly allows it.
  • Use the Font Software beyond the category, tier, domain, brand, product, app, project, territory, or user count shown on your order.
  • Use the Font Software in violation of applicable law or in a way that infringes another person’s rights.

Using Finished Output in ordinary published material, including material created with design software that uses AI-assisted features, is not by itself prohibited—provided the Font Software or glyph data is not supplied for model training or extraction.

05 — Keeping the license current

Tiers, upgrades, records, and security

  • Upgrade before exceeding a limit. Standard licensees must upgrade before users, pageviews, MAU, Units, organization size, territory, or project scope grows beyond the purchased tier. Enterprise licensees must obtain written approval before adding entities, Font Software, or special uses outside their enterprise order.
  • Measure the real use. Automated traffic that is clearly fraudulent or generated solely by bots may be excluded from Pageviews; normal crawler, customer, and application activity may not be manipulated to avoid a tier.
  • Keep reasonable records. Maintain enough records to confirm your license category and scale. On reasonable written request, provide a truthful usage confirmation.
  • Protect the files. Keep Font Software in access-controlled storage, limit access to authorized users, and promptly address suspected loss or unauthorized distribution.
  • Backups. You may keep a reasonable number of secure archival copies. Backup copies remain subject to this EULA and must be deleted when the license ends.
